Overview

The Alliance for Healthier Communities represents its members, community health centres, and related organizations in the province of Ontario. It exists to promote its members, which include Community Health Centres (CHCs), Aboriginal Health Access Centres (AHACs), and other primary care health organizations. The association provides member centres with additional knowledge, skills, and resources to enhance their ability to operate their own centres.

Mission

To improve the health and wellbeing of people and communities facing barriers through transformative change to the health system in Ontario, working towards healthier people, healthier communities, a more inclusive society, and a more sustainable health care system.

Health equity, community governance, comprehensive primary health care, addressing social determinants of health, and the belief that health is a complete state of physical, mental, social and spiritual wellbeing

How does WellFunded work?

Donor-advised funds, wealth advisors and foundations use WellFunded to find, research and fund Canadian charities. Instead of rewriting the same proposal for every funder, you complete one profile and it's ready for all of them. Fill in a few short sections and upload your annual report, and we'll turn it into an impact page funders can find by cause, location and program.

Do I need to apply for funding?

No. Funders search WellFunded for charities that match what they want to support, and your profile is what they find. When a funder wants to know more, you'll hear from us. Some funders also post Giving Opportunities for a specific focus, and you can respond to those with the profile you've already built.

What does it cost?

WellFunded is free for charities. We don't charge transaction fees, and we never take a cut of any gift. Funders pay to use the platform.

Who sees my profile?

Donor-advised funds, advisors and foundations using WellFunded to research charities. Together they manage over $2.3B in charitable assets. WellFunded isn't open to the general public.

What is a WellCheck?

When a funder is seriously considering your charity, they may ask for a WellCheck. It's a short set of questions plus a few documents, reviewed alongside your audited financials and CRA filings. We present findings, not verdicts: no scores and no rankings. Do it once, and it's ready for every funder who asks after that.

Is my information secure?

Yes. Your data stays in Canada, and we never sell it. See our privacy policy for details.
