About Calgary Alpha House Society

Overview

Calgary Alpha House Society provides safe and caring environments for individuals whose lives are affected by alcohol and other drug dependencies. Their continuum of programs helps connect these individuals with multiple levels of support such as outreach programs, a shelter program, a detox program, and a housing program with case management support. In addition, Calgary Alpha House Society purchased an apartment building for their Women's Project in June 2017, providing 24 new, permanent supportive housing units for women who have health and aging related issues due to addiction, mental illness, and a long history of homelessness.

Alpha House's values include respecting clients' right to self-determination as they address the impact of alcoholism and addiction in their lives, developing relationships of trust with clients, working on client-identified objectives, and providing trauma-informed care.

Unique value proposition

Alpha House operates 24/7 services including the only mobile diversion response team (DOAP) in Calgary that provides street-level addiction and public intoxication response, preventing unnecessary use of emergency services and connecting vulnerable individuals to appropriate community resources.

WellFunded charges philanthropists today. For charities, WellFunded offers a free tier, with plans for affordable paid options that provide enhanced visibility and engagement tools. There will always be a free tier.

Instead of relying on cold proposals or personal networks, WellFunded helps you get in front of philanthropists actively looking to give in your area of impact.

How does WellFunded ensure trust and transparency?
