Minwaashin Lodge - Indigenous Women's Support Centre operates to promote the empowerment and well-being of aboriginal women and children who are survivors of family violence. They provide a safe and supportive environment for indigenous women to heal from trauma and rebuild their lives. Additionally, Minwaashin Lodge works towards raising awareness about the issues facing indigenous women and advocating for social change to end violence against women in indigenous communities.

Mission

To provide prevention and intervention services and programs for grandmothers, women, children and youth who are survivors of family violence and the residential school system, including those impacted by intergenerational effects. A full range of violence prevention and intervention programs and services is provided in the context of reclaiming the wisdom of First Nations, Métis and Inuit cultural teachings.

Creating a safe and nurturing environment rooted in cultural beliefs and values, ensuring a holistic approach to healing. All initiatives are grounded in Indigenous cultural teachings, with a focus on empowering women and families to reclaim their cultural traditions and heritage.
