Overview

Minwaashin Lodge - Indigenous Women's Support Centre operates to promote the empowerment and well-being of aboriginal women and children who are survivors of family violence. They provide a safe and supportive environment for indigenous women to heal from trauma and rebuild their lives. Through various programs and services, the charity aims to address the unique needs of indigenous women and children affected by family violence, offering counseling, advocacy, and cultural support. Additionally, Minwaashin Lodge works towards raising awareness about the issues facing indigenous women and advocating for social change to end violence against women in indigenous communities.

Mission

To provide prevention and intervention services and programs for grandmothers, women, children and youth who are survivors of family violence and the residential school system, including those impacted by intergenerational effects. A full range of violence prevention and intervention programs and services is provided in the context of reclaiming the wisdom of First Nations, Métis and Inuit cultural teachings.

Creating a safe and nurturing environment rooted in cultural beliefs and values, ensuring a holistic approach to healing. All initiatives are grounded in Indigenous cultural teachings, with a focus on empowering women and families to reclaim their cultural traditions and heritage.

We are soon rolling out a "two click granting" tool where donors can set their granting preferences and if your charity matches their preferences, you will automatically be notified in your dashboard, and can send your portrait onward right through to their WellFunded dashboard. Sort of like applying to a job through LinkedIn Easy Apply.

WellFunded charges philanthropists presently. For charities, WellFunded offers a free tier, with plans for affordable paid options that provide enhanced visibility and engagement tools. However, we will always have a free tier. We will introduce pricing once enough active donors use the platform to influence giving.

Instead of relying on cold proposals or personal networks, WellFunded helps you get in front of philanthropists actively looking to give in your area of impact. With advanced search tools and standardized due diligence, your work speaks for itself—helping you build trust and attract new donors.
