Overview

On October 7, 1981, PearlSpace (formerly the Howe Sound Women’s Centre Society) was created as a grassroots organization dedicated to the prevention of gender-based violence and support for survivors impacted by violence or abuse. Since our founding, we have grown and expanded in response to the needs of the individuals and communities we serve. With a dedicated team of employees and volunteers, we serve the needs of people in the Sea to Sky Corridor and Stl’atl’imx regions including Skwxwú7mesh, Lilwat7úl, and Stl’atl’imx Nations and the communities of Squamish, Whistler, and Pemberton. 

Mission

To promote the equality and empowerment of women, children, gender-diverse, non-binary, Two
Spirit and trans people from a diversity of backgrounds within the Sea to sky Corridor.

Vision

PearlSpace is dedicated to preventing violence against women, Two Spirit, gender-diverse, non-binary, trans people, and youth by providing inclusive, supportive services within the Sea to Sky corridor & Stl’atl’imx regions.

Values

PearlSpace Society cultivates hope from an intersectional feminist framework, offering inclusive programs to support people experiencing gender-based violence, including intimate Partner Violence (IPV), Sexual Assault(SA), harassment, oppression, as well as provide prevention education and advocacy.

WellFunded eliminates the inefficiencies, inequities and ineffectiveness of traditional fundraising by centralizing and standardizing the process. Instead of spending time on endless grant applications, you create a single, detailed profile that philanthropists and foundations can easily discover and fund. Our other tools like our centralized due diligence tool and "2 click grants" (coming soon) build off of this core concept: that we can make things radically better by centralizing them on one common platform.

Philanthropists can browse charity profiles, see your funding needs, and express interest directly—saving you countless hours. We are soon rolling out a "two click granting" tool where donors can set their granting preferences and if your charity matches their preferences, you will automatically be notified in your dashboard, and can send your portrait onward right through to their WellFunded dashboard. Sort of like applying to a job through LinkedIn Easy Apply.

WellFunded charges philanthropists presently. For charities, WellFunded offers a free tier, with plans for affordable paid options that provide enhanced visibility and engagement tools. However, we will always have a free tier. We will introduce pricing once enough active donors use the platform to influence giving.

Instead of relying on cold proposals or personal networks, WellFunded helps you get in front of philanthropists actively looking to give in your area of impact. With advanced search tools and standardized due diligence, your work speaks for itself—helping you build trust and attract new donors.

Charity profiles include leadership information, financial data, and clear funding needs. Philanthropists can also see impact reports and follow the giving activity of other donors, creating a more open and transparent ecosystem.
