Charity Details

Pearlspace Support Services Society operates two drop-in centers, a safe home, and a transition house, providing support and shelter to women and children in abusive situations in the Sea to Sky corridor, from the Lower Mainland and other areas of Canada. The society also owns and operates Pearls Value & Vintage, a second-hand thrift store located in downtown Squamish, British Columbia. It accepts used, donated items from the local community and exchanges them for cash donations to further assist with the funding of society operations. The society has four residential rental apartments, and the rental income earned assists with the cost to operate and maintain the rental units as well as the drop-in center. Additionally, the society offers children's counseling and youth education programs.

We are soon rolling out a “two click granting” tool where donors can set their granting preferences and if your charity matches their preferences, you will automatically be notified in your dashboard, and can send your portrait onward right through to their WellFunded dashboard. Sort of like applying to a job through LinkedIn Easy Apply.

WellFunded charges philanthropists presently. For charities, WellFunded offers a free tier, with plans for affordable paid options that provide enhanced visibility and engagement tools. However, we will always have a free tier. We will introduce pricing once enough active donors use the platform to influence giving.
