They operate a food bank and clothing give-away program, provide financial counseling, assist in job search activities such as resume writing and interview preparation, offer settlement counseling and information sessions for newcomers including tenant's rights and healthcare, provide ESL and basic French instructions, operate a recycling service, and coordinate a volunteer service for various community needs.

Mission

The Salvation Army exists to share the love of Jesus Christ, meet human needs and be a transforming influence in the communities of our world. As an innovative partner, we are mobilized to share hope wherever there is hardship, building communities that are just and know the love of Jesus.

Vision

Hope: We give hope through the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Service: We reach out to support others without discrimination. Dignity: We respect and value each other, recognizing everyone's worth. Stewardship: We responsibly manage the resources entrusted to us.

Unique Value Proposition

As the largest non-governmental direct provider of social services in Canada, The Salvation Army combines Christian faith with practical action, following the philosophy of 'soup, soap and salvation' - addressing both physical and spiritual needs simultaneously through comprehensive programs spanning emergency services, rehabilitation, housing, food security, and community development.

Everything you need to know about getting started

WellFunded eliminates the inefficiencies, inequities and ineffectiveness of traditional fundraising by centralizing and standardizing the process. Instead of spending time on endless grant applications, you create a single, detailed profile that philanthropists and foundations can easily discover and fund. Our other tools like our centralized due diligence tool and "2 click grants" (coming soon) build off of this core concept: that we can make things radically better by centralizing them on one common platform.

Philanthropists can browse charity profiles, see your funding needs, and express interest directly—saving you countless hours. We are soon rolling out a "two click granting" tool where donors can set their granting preferences and if your charity matches their preferences, you will automatically be notified in your dashboard, and can send your portrait onward right through to their WellFunded dashboard. Sort of like applying to a job through LinkedIn Easy Apply.

WellFunded charges philanthropists presently. For charities, WellFunded offers a free tier, with plans for affordable paid options that provide enhanced visibility and engagement tools. However, we will always have a free tier. We will introduce pricing once enough active donors use the platform to influence giving.

Instead of relying on cold proposals or personal networks, WellFunded helps you get in front of philanthropists actively looking to give in your area of impact. With advanced search tools and standardized due diligence, your work speaks for itself—helping you build trust and attract new donors.

Charity profiles include leadership information, financial data, and clear funding needs. Philanthropists can also see impact reports and follow the giving activity of other donors, creating a more open and transparent ecosystem.

Yes. WellFunded prioritizes data security and does not sell or share your private information outside the platform.
