About The Toronto Consort

Overview

The Toronto Consort is a registered charitable organization under the Canadian Income Tax Act and is, thus, exempt from income taxes under Section 149(1)(1) of the act. Its purpose is to promote and encourage the study and performance of Medieval and Renaissance music. While the Consort's core repertoire dates from Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque Europe, the Consort is also well-known for its commitment to modern Canadian works within its mandate as well as many modern works written specifically for the ensemble. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, The Toronto Consort has expanded to include online performances and presentation concerts in a pre-recorded format.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about getting started.

How does the platform work?

WellFunded eliminates the inefficiencies, inequities and ineffectiveness of traditional fundraising by centralizing and standardizing the process. Instead of spending time on endless grant applications, you create a single, detailed profile that philanthropists and foundations can easily discover and fund.

Do I need to apply for funding through WellFunded?

Philanthropists can browse charity profiles, see your funding needs, and express interest directly—saving you countless hours. We are soon rolling out a "two click granting" tool where donors can set their granting preferences and matching charities are automatically surfaced.

What does it cost?

WellFunded charges philanthropists today. For charities, WellFunded offers a free tier, with plans for affordable paid options that provide enhanced visibility and engagement tools. There will always be a free tier.

How does WellFunded help my charity get discovered?

Instead of relying on cold proposals or personal networks, WellFunded helps you get in front of philanthropists actively looking to give in your area of impact.

How does WellFunded ensure trust and transparency?

Charity profiles include leadership information, financial data, and clear funding needs. Philanthropists can also see impact reports and follow giving activity of other donors.

Is my information secure?

Yes. WellFunded prioritizes data security and does not sell or share your private information outside the platform.
