About Yor Sup Net Support Service Network

Overview

Yor-Sup-Net Support Service Network (YSSN) is a non-profit organization based in Aurora, ON. Established in 1982, YSSN provides community-based mental health services, developmental services and community crisis response services. 
In 2023, YSSN became a founding partner in Canada's 9-8-8 Suicide Crisis Helpline. 
YSSN serves individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health needs, and those in crisis through 24/7 support, service coordination, is seen as a comprehensive community service hub.

Unique value proposition

Your Support Services Network (YSSN), is a CARF accredited, social services organization serving people  with serious mental illness and/or a developmental disability, and children with complex needs. We work alongside families and caregivers, to access services and build connections to support their unique needs. We offer direct services, such as 24/7 crisis support, and coordination/referral to community partners and are a partner in the local and national 9-8-8 Suicide Crisis Helpline.

How does WellFunded work?

Donor-advised funds, wealth advisors and foundations use WellFunded to find, research and fund Canadian charities. Instead of rewriting the same proposal for every funder, you complete one profile and it's ready for all of them. Fill in a few short sections and upload your annual report, and we'll turn it into an impact page funders can find by cause, location and program.

Do I need to apply for funding?

No. Funders search WellFunded for charities that match what they want to support, and your profile is what they find. When a funder wants to know more, you'll hear from us. Some funders also post Giving Opportunities for a specific focus, and you can respond to those with the profile you've already built.

What does it cost?

WellFunded is free for charities. We don't charge transaction fees, and we never take a cut of any gift. Funders pay to use the platform.

Who sees my profile?

Donor-advised funds, advisors and foundations using WellFunded to research charities. Together they manage over $2.3B in charitable assets. WellFunded isn't open to the general public.

What is a WellCheck?

When a funder is seriously considering your charity, they may ask for a WellCheck. It's a short set of questions plus a few documents, reviewed alongside your audited financials and CRA filings. We present findings, not verdicts: no scores and no rankings. Do it once, and it's ready for every funder who asks after that.

Is my information secure?

Yes. Your data stays in Canada, and we never sell it. See our privacy policy for details.
